After The Battle magazine

I am a big admirer of the After The Battle magazines and especially their trademarked approach to comparing period WW2 photographs to current day scenes.

I am assembling 'Then and Now' comparisons of my own photos with photos taken during or shortly after WW2. See how far I have got so far.

German bunker at Omaha Beach, Normandy.

This WW2 German bunker sits just behind the lower sand dunes at the junction between what was designated 'Dog Red' and 'Easy Green' beaches (marked by flag icon on satellite photo above). It featured in many photos from the period. Some of these are shown below alongside my own.
